It's been a little crazy around here lately. Joe's been sick the last couple of weeks (which means I have two children to care for), and I haven't felt all that great in a while myself. I feel like I have 1/10th of the energy I usually do, so even making lunch and dinner seems like a gigantic task. Blogging for me has definitely taken a back seat; maybe even been shoved into the trunk.
We have been looking into buying a house. We've been searching for a larger apartment for a while (definitely time for Co to have his own room), and it seems it would be the same amount to buy a place and have a mortgage as it would be to rent per month. We'll see how it goes in the next couple months... our price range is pretty limiting in what we want and what we can afford. Joe likes to look at properties that are juuuuuust out of our price range "just to see", which drives me crazy. I'll hear him say, "oh, honey! Look at this place! If only we had $10,000 more to put down!" And I say, no thank you. I'd rather not torture myself by looking at amazing places that we can't afford.
Something great happened last week for Joe. Anthropologie's sister company, Terrain, is opening a store in Connecticut. Store openings are a big fat deal in the Anthro world; they have the best of the best fly from all over the country to create the window display and store aesthetic for the grand opening. Well, Joe got a call from his district manager who asked him to fly out for two weeks in April to work on the opening of the new Terrain in CT. He was pretty stoked (this was his dream to be able to do someday, and he has only been there 9 months).
In Cohen news, he is getting better at feeding himself with a spoon, but still would prefer to use his hands. He's taken steps, but is still too scared to walk long distances. I just want him to walk for his clothes' sake. All of his pants have holes in the knees - even his brand new ones.
I've had a little energy here and there to break out the camera, so here are some pictures just for the heck of it. What is a blog post without pictures, anyway?
