It's been a little crazy around these parts lately. Joe quit his job in October to do his own thing with his brother - they'll be making bags, laptop cases and knife rolls all the way to the bank (we hope). It was crazy scary when they first pitched the idea to me... I think my exact words were "oh, heck no". But after a little prayer and many late night talks with my persuasive husband and brother in law, we decided it was now or never. It is something they've always wanted to do together, and we always say we never want to look back and ask "what if".
Health insurance and retirement are quite the headache when you don't have an employer doing it all for you. Holy cow. I'm glad I didn't know it would all be this stressful before he decided to quit, or it would have been one more reason to say no. Hopefully a few years from now I'll be so glad we took the leap of faith and decided to just do it. Hopefully.
Other than that, life has been just the same as it always has been. Cohen and Elliot are more hilarious and fun than ever before, and we just feel so blessed to have such fun little personalities to hang out with every day. Some days they fight and yell and cry, and others they play and giggle and laugh... so it kind of all evens out.

Awesome about the job for Joe! Congrats to him for following his dreams with his brother. Good luck with the retirement and benefits headache. Please tell me you are becoming a professional cookie maker -- seriously. All the pictures you post are amazing. You could sell those babies for moolah. Then you get to create the cuteness without consuming all the calories ;)
