Sorry, grandma. Now I know why you'd rather have them on your tree to look at rather than stomped all over your yard.

Backyard Rain
It's been rainy today, and now that I am home from running errands and out of the wet cold, I am loving it. While Cohen was napping, I wandered through the backyard and took pictures. I never can resist going outside with my camera when it's cloudy and damp outside; the smell of wet cement calls my name. (However, if it stays rainy for longer than two days, it will no longer be dreamy and lovely, but annoying and dreary. Just needed to clarify that.)
And I brought these inside from the rain because they remind me of my Grandma Beutler. We used to have 'snowball' fights in her yard with them in the spring and she'd get mad at us for making a mess of them.
Sorry, grandma. Now I know why you'd rather have them on your tree to look at rather than stomped all over your yard.
